Poche ore fa si sono svolte a Seul, presso il Gocheok Sky Dome le premiazioni dei 'High1 Seoul Music Awards’. I presentatori dello show di quest'anno erano Heechul dei Super Junior , Shin Dong Yup e Jo Bo Ah.
I "Seoul Music Awards" sono andati in scena per la prima volta nel 1990 e vengono organizzati ogni anno dal quotidiano Sports Seoul per premiare i risultati eccezionali nel settore musicale coreano. I vincitori vengono selezionati in base all'ultimo anno di pubblicazioni calcolando il 20% dei voti da mobile, il 10% da un sondaggio sulla popolarità su Sports Seoul, il 40% dai download digitali e dalle vendite di album e il 30% dai punteggi dei giudici. (I premi di popolarità sono decisi al 100% da un sondaggio di popolarità.)

La nona edizione dei Gaon Chart Music Awards ha celebrato i più grandi successi musicali dell'anno appena trascorso!
L'evento si è tenuto alla Jamsil Arena di Seoul ed è stato presentato da Leeteuk dei Super Junior e Lia delle ITZY. A differenza di molte cerimonie annuali, questo show non assegna un Daesang (premio speciale).

La Recording Academy, organizzazione statunitense di musicisti, produttori e altre professionisti della musica, conosciuta ai più per l'organizzazione degli annuali Grammy Awards, ha ufficialmente invitato il fondatore della Big Hit Entertainment, Bang Shi Hyuk, a unirsi come membro!
Questa settimana la Recording Academy ha dichiarato di aver esteso 1.340 inviti a "creatori di musica e professionisti aziendali qualificati" per iscriversi come membri.
I sette membri del BTS, inoltre, sono stati invitati a iscriversi all'organizzazione come membri votanti, il che significa che avranno diritto di voto per i prossimi Grammy Awards.
Costituita ufficialmente nel 1957, la Recording Academy ha organizzato i primi Grammy Awards nel 1959. Ad oggi, i Grammy, sono visti come i massimi riconoscimenti nel settore musicale.

Per il quattordicesimo anno, Soompi rende omaggio al meglio del mondo della musica e della televisione sudcoreana con i suoi Soompi Awards, premi scelti dal voto dei fan. L'anno scorso, il concorso ha ricevuto oltre 163 milioni di voti da utenti di 190 paesi in tutto il mondo che vogliono celebrare come ogni anno il K-Pop e i K-Drama, affinché possano continuare a crescere sempre di più.
Quest'anno saranno gli SF9, il gruppo maschile della FNC Entertainment, a fare da MC e annunciatori, come si può capire da questo video:
Anche per questa edizione, Soompi unisce le forze con Twitter, che ha recentemente annunciato che l'anno scorso i tweet riguardanti il K-Pop sono stati 5,3 miliardi. L'evento sarà commentabile con l'hashtag #SoompiAwards, che ogni volta che verrà digitato, farà apparire il logo ufficiale dei Soompi Awards accanto al tag.
Gli artisti nominati per i K-Pop Awards sono scelti dalla classifica ufficiale del sito, la Soompi Music Chart, che tiene conto del posizionamento degli artisti nelle classifiche musicali sudcoreane e della loro popolarità all'interno del portale. I nominati per i K-Drama Awards rappresentano le migliori serie tv, variety show e attori televisivi sudcoreani del 2018 e sono basati sul giudizio degli utenti e sulla popolarità sul portale di informazione.
I K-Pop Awards consistono in 14 categorie: Best Female Solo, Best Male Solo, Best FemaleGroup, Best Male Group, Breakout Artist, Best Collaboration, Best Choreography, Music Video of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year e Artist of the Year.
Le categorie dei K-Drama Awards sono invece: Breakout Actor, Best Idol Actor, BestWeb Series, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Foreign Drama, Best Variety Show, Best Soundtrack, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Couple, Actor of the Year, Actress of the Year e Drama of the Year.
